District Diagnostic Testing
Kindergarten Readiness Assessment
At the beginning of each school year, children in public school kindergarten programs will be assessed using Ohio’s Kindergarten Readiness Assessment. This assessment includes ways for teachers to measure a child’s readiness for engaging with instruction aligned to the kindergarten standards.
Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards (birth to kindergarten entry) are the basis for the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment. The Kindergarten Readiness Assessment is used to assess four areas of early learning:
NWEA- MAP Assessment
Students in grades K-12 are assessed throughout the year to make sure they are on track and to make sure students are getting the correct enrichment or intervention needed. Students take this test three times per year (Fall, Winter, Spring) to track growth and measure academic process. This assessment also meets the requirements for state mandated Diagnostic testing in grades K-3.

Students in grades K-4 take the DIBELS test as a benchmark screening to decide instructional groupings, track student growth, and to progress monitor whether interventions are working as students learn throughout the year.

SLO's are currently used in grades K-12 in social studies and elective courses. For teachers in grades K-12 that teach ELA, Math, or Science, MAP is used to measure student growth.
Here is the 2018-2019 Schedule:
FALL SLO TESTING
1. SLO Scoring Sheet- This is the same that you used last year. You will need to make a copy and then fill out for your students. The first tab explains how to pull student rosters, and there are also tabs for a variety of roster sizes. The formula is built for an assessment with a 100 point value, so you will need to edit the formula if you use a different value.
2. SLO Template and Checklist- This is also the same as we used last year. The prompts are non-negotiable items that the SLO Committee will be looking for. You are welcome to basically fill in the blanks. Again, you will need to make a copy of this attachment for you to enter your information.
The deadline to turn in your SLO information is September 21st, 2018 to your building principal. Make sure you include:
1. The SLO Template
2. A copy of the scoring sheet (listing all students and targets)
3. A copy of the assessment used including any rubrics if applicable.
SPRING SLO TESTING
The SLO window for testing will be March 25-April 5, 2019. SLO teachers should be sure their assessments are given and data is compiled and completed during this window. SLO data is due directly to your building principal by April 12th. Here are a few reminders:
Starting in third grade, students take yearly state assessments to measure academic progress. This year's dates are listed below by building.
